Joshua Friedman  "I came into the Real Estate environment back in 2010, first in rentals, and then moving across into sales in 2011 at the age of 20. I came in to the industry with desire, and determination to make a successful career, but no knowledge or prior education in any sales industry, never mind selling houses. 9 months later I had unfortunately only sold 3 properties, and more concerning for me was my lack of understanding, vision and the self-belief I had 9 months earlier to become a successful Property Professional. The company I worked for arranged for me to meet with Edna once a week for a coaching session. Within a few sessions I had a vision, direction and goals, I had a clear understanding of what I needed to do to get back on track and what principles and activities were required to become a leading Property Professional. In a world where instant gratification has become the trend, it is very difficult to understand what groundwork needs to be put in upfront to yield results far down the line. It can be very difficult to wake up today and do work that may only come to fruition in a year, 2 years or 5 years’ time, but Edna made it clear what needed to be done and that the results would come in time.

Over the next 3 years I stuck to the exact same principles, I mastered to the best of my ability everything that Edna taught me and with that knowledge I went on to be awarded with the Highest Earning Commission Earner for 2014 for the entire Maxprop group, as well as the Most Properties Sold for the year overall. For me this is not the final goal, it is only the beginning of where I want my career to go. And it is for this reason that in the final stages of this breakthrough and highly achieving year for me, I had the opportunity to have some more coaching sessions with Edna where we have taken everything I have learnt and deployed thus far and added on to it to take me into the next stage of my career. Edna came in at the end of 2014 and I engaged with her in assisting me to increase my income. Edna reviewed where I had come to in my sales, and we decided I had to create more time to spend with clients and to find more consistency in my sales. With this I employed a full time personal assistant. Edna trained myself and my new employee for a few sessions, and 5 months later we have almost doubled my income from last year, consistently selling houses with no lull or reprieve.

What Edna did for me was take many, many years of knowledge and expertise that can only be gained by experience, and taught me those principles and activities. This allowed myself to reach a level in my career that would normally take someone anywhere between 10 and 20 years, and allowed me to get there within 5 years. I make it known to every person who asks me what makes me so good at what I do, that I had the best coach to help me understand what was required from the beginning. I will continue to use Edna as I continue my journey, as in today’s climate you have to be constantly evolving to keep ahead of the pack, and Edna’s advice and experience will continue to help me make informed decisions and to continue to grow through the various stages of my career going forward."
